Wantage Literary Festival Event: Tracy Borman

Tracy Borman Gunpowder, Treason and Plot: The Rise of the Stuarts

Back by popular demand, historian and broadcaster Tracy Borman returns to the Festival to discuss a particularly turbulent period in British history.

Her talk explores how fascination and fear of witchcraft mixed with suspicion of a new king during the era of the Gunpowder Plot.

Chief Executive of the Heritage Education Trust and joint Chief Curator for Historic Royal Palaces, Tracy is also an accomplished historical novelist and her two recent works of fiction bring the treacherous court of James I vividly to life.

A must-see event for both history and fiction fans.
